SOLEMEMO SE09 are a great example that even less known manufacturer can deliver fantastic headphones and earbuds at a very competitive price. These unassuming wireless earbuds are packed with advanced technology, which helps them produce very enjoyable sound.

Design

Simple black and white design is what SE09 are all about. We really like this approach since it is less likely to become an eyesore after you use them for a few months. All electronic components are integrated directly to earbuds themselves, which means that there is only a thin cable between you and your music. This construction is perfect for gym usage as you can comfortably lie down on a bench and exercise.

Buttons are located on individual earbuds; the left one houses a volume down and a volume up button, and the right one houses a power button and a USB charging port. This arrangement has its distinct pros and cons. One major downside is the fact that there’s a small chance that you knock the earbud out of your ear, each time you press a button. You have to be very careful and ideally use one hand to hold the earbud in place and other one to press the button. The power button is located in a very hard-to-reach place and it takes some time before you get used to it.

Build quality

SOLEMEMO SE09 have all marks of high-quality earbuds. The plastic feels solid, the cable is flat and highly resistant to microphonics, and sweating doesn’t seem to cause any degradation of sound quality.

Sound quality

The sound quality is excellent. There is basically zero distortion even at very high volume and dynamic range is large enough that you can listen to all music genres without feeling like you are missing out on important details. Even though the soundstage isn’t even close to amazing, it’s not so small that you would feel like it interferes with your listening experience.

We also appreciate that SOLEMEMO went the extra mile to ensure that the cable is resistant to microphonics. If there is one thing that can easily ruin even the best sounding pair of gym headphones, it’s hearing distracting sounds each time the cable brushes against your clothes or skin.

A big bonus is the ability to connect 2 devices at the same time for shared listening with your gym buddy or partner.
